We provide support to African grassroots community based organizations that help children with incarcerated parents!
We respond to wishes of funders or donors to reach children with Incarcerated Parents, through their Love Gifts we are able to provide seed grants to community based grass root charities in Africa reaching children with a parent in prison.Children with incarcerated parents going to become the game changer for the transformation Africa has been needing since time immemorial!
THE AFRICAN CHILDREN IMPACTED BY PARENTAL INCARCERATION
The African Child whose parents are in prison is lives in state of disarray. They experience a higher risk of child Poverty and homelessness, dropping out of school, Early pregnancy, physical and Sexual abuse and social stigmatization and Becoming entangled in the criminal justice system themselves. These children undergo untold trauma and this can lead to a wide range of mental health issues that may not emerge until later in life.
Research and experience has taught us that these children if helped can survived all or some of the risks and can thrive to be victors. The Wells of Hope Model for Interventions for Children with a parent in prison.
